Flyings for the Birds Parrot Rescue is offering bird lovers the chance to sponsor a parrot by making a $25 donation to cover the cost of food and care of a Parrot for one month. Take a look at our photo albums and choose a Parrot Or you can just let us choose a Parrot for you. We have macaws, amazons, african greys , love birds, cockatiels, conures and many other types of birds. They all need care, love and food. Local Sponsors can make an appointment to visit “their” parrot at the rescue. All sponsors will receive a photograph of their parrot and certificate of sponsorship. When making your sponsorship donation through PayPal (link at top of page), please indicate which parrot you would like to sponsor, or if you would like us select one for you. "Flyings for the Birds Parrot Rescue strives to enhance the lives and well-being of surrendered companion parrots by providing superior avian knowledgeable care, excellent nutrition, companionship, veterinary support, rehabilitation for the correction of aggressive non-social behavior, lifetime sanctuary for the older or handicapped parrots and a responsible, loving, lifelong home.

We further offer support and understanding to those persons who have found themselves in a position whereby they are facing the hardship of surrendering a bird. The vast majority of our parrots have come from a loving caring environment. The process of living can present many unexpected changes.

We are committed to improving the lives and welfare of the misunderstood, abused, neglected, abandoned, seriously ill, malnourished and aggressive companion parrots, by providing protection, rehabilitation, public education and whatever means is deemed necessary.
Flyings for the Birds is a nonprofit charitable organization dependent on your financial support to continue this labor of love and dedication. Monetary donations from kind people such as yourself, adoption fees and on occasion individuals who find they must release a parrot to rescue assist our effort. While no fee is charged to accept a parrot there is cost involved with each one we take in. Housing, food, medical care, transportation and all nature of supplies make challenging demands on our tight budget. Our staff is comprised entirely of volunteers. No administrative fees are paid. 100% of all contributions are used to meet the needs of our parrots."
